National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) of America has come out with a report now which states about the cars which are having better resale value in the category of green cars and in general also.
As per the report, Toyota Prius occupied the first position in the green car category.
As per NADAas report, it is neither a guestimate nor editors’ favorites. However, the report is based on the scientific MSRP of the vehicles and the actual resale price of the cars when reselling the vehicles by the owners in the previous years.
As per the report, Toyota Prius has taken the second position with a resale value of 54.3%., i.e. if the original sale value of Prius is taken as $30K, then its resale value is $16,290 at the end of three years period.
For the similar period, the resale value of Nissan Leaf is found out as just 38.2%. Thus, if the original sale price of the Nissan Leaf is taken as $30K, then the resale value is $11,460. Thus, Nissan Leaf, if it wants to make up the resale price of Toyota Prius, then it has to gain a resale price of another 42% (or) $4,800.
